About me

Hi, I’m Simona. I’m a psychologist and a counsellor with a passion for working with families. Since 2019, I’ve supported parents and children facing a wide range of neurodevelopmental and mental health challenges. Becoming a parent myself ignited a deep interest in the perinatal space, and as my boys grow, so too has my personal and professional understanding of raising little people.

I work with women, men, couples, and families who are planning for a baby, navigating pregnancy, adjusting to life with a newborn, or simply seeking support during the transition to parenthood. I also support parents who have experienced the profound grief of losing a baby, offering compassion and gentle support through one of life’s most difficult journeys.

My path began in the Czech Republic, where I completed my psychology studies. Through international study programs I found my way to Australia, where I furthered my training with a four-year Master’s in Gestalt Therapy. I have also undertaken extensive professional development, including Sandplay Therapy—an expressive and embodied approach that helps uncover what lies beneath the surface. Most recently, I have embraced the role of a perinatal practitioner, completing the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Intensive Training and Grief, Trauma and Attachment: An Integrated Approach to Perinatal Loss Training. All of this training and experience in psychology along with my own parental journey has equipped me with the skills to support individuals and families during one of the most tender and vulnerable times of their lives.

When I’m not at work, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, walking on the beach, exploring with my dog, or enjoying time with my family in our garden.
