About me
Hi, I’m Blake. Before starting support work in 2019, I had a varied career and life experience that shaped my skills and perspective. After finishing high school, I joined the Royal Australian Navy as a medic, serving for six years before moving into an emergency response role in the mining industry.
Seeking a different pace, I spent seven years living aboard a small sailboat, travelling and working in diverse roles—from whale watching and the marine industry to hospitality and retail.
When I eventually sailed into Bundaberg and found a place to call home, I returned to care-based work and discovered my passion for supporting others. I began with clients experiencing complex behaviours and later transitioned into independent support work. I enjoy the variety—different clients' needs, personalities, and settings keep each day meaningful.
Outside of work, my greatest priority is being a husband and father. When I have time to myself, you’ll usually find me in nature—spearfishing, exploring waterways, camping, or tending to the garden.
